Sandawana Castings Limited is a subsidiary of W Lucy & Co Limited, a long established Oxford based business, whose principal activities are electrical engineering and property management.
Sandawana’s modern facilities include some 20,000
sq. ft. of purpose built production space, equipped
to the highest standards. Particular attention has
been focused on:
| The Environment | Sandawana make their environmental responsibilities a very high priority and in partnership with local agencies have a planned strategy for the future. All staff are involved in training programmes and a syllabus is in place which includes all environmental issues which could affect our employees, the local population and the planet and is in place to protect all of them.
|
| Flexibility | 4 medium frequency furnaces and 2 moulding lines ensure we can
handle a wide range of order volumes, metal grades (grey and
ductile iron) and component weights (up to 1000kgs). If they require
finishing, our machining cell will welcome the challenge. |
| People | Our small but highly skilled workforce is dedicated to serving the
customer, from first contact to post-delivery support. We pride
ourselves on our technical abilities - we enjoy the challenges that
stem from the wide variety of work that we undertake. |
| Logistics | We aim to give a rapid response from receipt of an enquiry through
order placement, pattern manufacture, component
production and delivery, usually via our own
transport. |
| Applications | Sandawana has always specialised in thinsection
castings, but its current
customers reach across several
market sectors. Engineering components
are provided for power
transmission, materials handling
systems, construction equipment
and air compressors. Our superior
surface finish enables us to supply the
domestic products sector enamelled. |
